Beatles Fans Await Upgraded Re-Releases – NYTimes.com.

I caught a glimpse into what these might sound like but I can’t recall which tune/album. It was something which was recently remastered by George Martin.

Anyway, this upcoming series of releases promises to be a royal mess-in-the-making, to be sure. Not to mention that they don’t know or recognize how to deal with Apple Computer, or any computer for that matter. At least, it’ll be another chance to buy recordings we already own <sarcasm>.

When I was a kid my parents bought me the White Album (LP, of course) for an Easter gift one year. Nice. Times certainly have changed!

Todd Rundgren does Sgt. Pepper

If anyone could do The Beatles’ Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, it would be the Toddster. The folks over at What Goes On report that the concert is set for 17-Aug.

Interesting to note that TR used to turn a blind eye toward ROIOs. He has recently changed his policy regarding these recordings. Looks like he’s got some good stuff coming out in the months ahead. Can’t wait to hear the new stuff. I’ve been a fan for…well…a long time…
