Kaplan Conducts Mahler

Gilbert Kaplan, not a musician by trade having made his fame in the financial sector, develops a love of Mahler’s 2nd Symphony (Resurrection) and conducts the New York Philharmonic in NYC. There are also some not-so raving reviews, too.

On 8-Dec he conducted the NY Philharmonic in the Resurrection a century after the composer conducted his American Premiere with the then, New York Symphony.

To some of the musicians in the symphony, Kaplan’s talent is lacking.

Orchestral Music, iTunes, and the iPod

If you have any orchestral (art, classical, etc…) music recordings you’ve probably found that organizing them into your iTunes library and then into your iPod is frustrating due to sort issues and the fact that the CDDB is so craptastic with this genre of music.
