I don’t have CATV so it took me a while to find this TV show. Thanks to Netflix, I was able to catch the first three shows on DVD of Mad Men. Wow, great music, great casting, great sets, it’s all great!
I’m still not going to pay for TV, yet, but there’s a DVD purchase in my future!
Cool article at the NY Times..smoking, drinking, womanizing…
This version of Wagner’s Ring cycle certainly departs from the traditional settings in years past. It’s also been compared to a film rather than an operatic staging.
The last candy-bar phone I bought there was no method to sync data between it and my desktop computer. Any changes I made to my address book was forever stored on the phone. Why should I make changes only to lose them when the phone became unusable?
My current phone is the BlackBerry Pearl. I like it lots but trying to sync it to my Mac Address Book, and iCal has introduced me to Apple’s Sync Services. I thought at OS X 10.5 they should know how to sync properly. Sometimes it works fine. Some days I’m offered the chance to delete all my data. Other days the sync process just pukes and does nothing. There’s apparently no rhyme or reason to these varied behaviors.
I figured with the Jesus Phone they would have resolved the sync issues. But I guess the inability to Copy and Paste is there by design and its presence would bring up sync issues. Wha? You mean I pays $300 for this phone and it craps my syncs?!
Good information here regarding the complexities of syncing data across multiple platforms.
I guess I’ll give up expecting this process to work as advertised…
Someone on DIME requested I open a window to share this Met Opera recording.
I figured out what my issue was regarding the .torrent file.
Philip Glass has been a favorite of mine since the days of WNYC back in NYC. It almost seems a dream now. This public radio station played contemporary orchestral music (DelTredici, Glass, Diamond, &c) and had interviews with the then current composers. Now much of public radio is a vaunted attempt at influencing politics. Sad.
